Thanks to the project funded by NAWA, the National Agency for Academic Exchange, the students participated in industrial study visits during which they conducted process and technology audits in French companies. The forty students selected for this project are pursuing studies in Management and Production Engineering.

The purpose of the visit was to deepen the students’ knowledge and improve their competence in manufacturing processes, but also to learn about the work culture in an international industrial environment. Among the companies visited by the Polish students were ACIERIES HACHETTE ET DRIOUT, MIKO (Groupe UNILEVER), MC CAIN ALIMENTAIRE, SODINE, CHAMPAGNE MUMM, CHAMPAGNE CANARD DUCHENE, ASI INNOVATION, DISTILLERIE CRISTANOL (Groupe CRISTAL UNION), SUCRERIE CRISTAL UNION.

During the visit, the students were hosted by IN&MA, which is a partner of Lodz University of Technology in this project. In a workshop organized by IN&MA, “Approche en Strategie Industrielle & Performance”, they found out more about long-term planning and industrial performance. The workshop was run by Arnaud Cuivillier, an expert in this field.  During the meeting with Virginie Girault, "How to Strengthen Success to International Industrial Projects," students met with TUL alumni who had completed part of their studies in France, at IN&MA, and tied their career paths to France. Finally, our students had the opportunity to meet Maxence HERVE, Director of Business Centres of CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK NORD-EST, who spoke about the macroeconomic approach emphasising industrial activities in Champagne Ardennes and Grand Est.

This study visit has enabled the students of Business and Technology, Smart Manufacturing and Gestion et Technologie to expand their knowledge of foreign business management strategies and develop their language and social skills. The implementation of the project allows TUL and IN&EMA to strengthen cooperation in the implementation of short-term mobility and recognition of learning outcomes in the form of awarding micro-credentials.
