Elective Course Selection

Students whose study programmes include elective courses that are not specified in advance in the curriculum are required to submit their course choices by 16 October 2026.

Important Restriction Regarding Course Selection

Due to the operation of two separate IT systems (SID and USOS), students may select elective courses only from the course offerings available within the system in which they are enrolled:

• Students registered in SID may choose courses from study programmes available in SID (study programmes up to and including the 2025/2026 academic year).
• Students registered in USOS may choose courses from study programmes available in USOS (study programmes introduced from the 2026/2027 academic year only).

Please note that it is not possible to register, transfer, or encode courses between the SID and USOS systems.

However, it is possible to recognize completed external learning activities as elective courses, including in particular:

• ECIU micro-modules
• Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)
• Baltic University Programme (BUP)

1. Selecting an Elective Course from the University Offer

To register an elective course:

1. Obtain the lecturer’s approval to attend the course.
2. Complete the appropriate application form:
   • SID students: generate the application form “Template for applications in other matters” in WebDziekanat.

   • USOS students: download and complete the “Template for applications in other matters” available after logging in to WIKAMP:

     Student Zone → Student Affairs → Application Forms/Templates for Students Supported by the USOS System

3. In the application, provide:
   • the course name and code,
   • the lecturer’s name,
   • confirmation that the lecturer has approved your participation.
4. Send the application to ifestudents@info.p.lodz.pl or submit it in person to the Student Affairs Office.

2. Recognition of ECIU / BIP / BUP Modules

Students wishing to use a completed ECIU, BIP, or BUP module as an elective course (modules can only be recognized after successful completion) must submit:

• a course completion certificate or micro-credential,
• a Transcript of Records for the completed course,
• the appropriate application form:
  • SID students: generated in WebDziekanat (“Applications and Requests – ECIU”),

  • USOS students: the form available in WIKAMP under:

    Student Zone → Student Affairs → Application Forms/Templates for Students Supported by the USOS System

All documents must be submitted together in a single email to ifestudents@info.p.lodz.pl or delivered in person to the Student Office.
