BSH Home Appliances sp. z o.o. is part of the multinational BSH Home Appliances Group with its headquarters in Munich, Germany. It is now part of the global Robert Bosch GmbH Group. Over its half-century history, BSH has grown from a local home appliance manufacturer to one of the world's leading companies in this sector. BSH has 42 production plants worldwide where it manufactures a full range of modern home appliances.


BSH in Poland is mainly known for household appliances of such brands as Bosch, Siemens and Gaggenau. The Polish headquarters of BSH Home Appliances is located in Warsaw, where the company's management board and central departments responsible, among others, for sales, marketing, logistics, as well as a number of shared services areas, such as the global Competence Center for Digital Services, Innovation and a wide range of IT services, are located. The strength of BSH in Poland are production branches in three locations: in Łódź, Wrocław and Rogoźnica near Rzeszów.


In Łódź, there are three factories producing washing machines, clothes dryers and dishwashers, as well as the Research and Development Center, the Logistics Center and the Shared Services Centre.


In its 25 years of operation, the BSH factories based in Łódź have produced more than forty-five million large domestic appliances. Most of them are exported to all developed markets in the world. In addition to the production of high-quality household appliances, the company is committed to the local community. That is why, since 2008, it has been supporting vocational and technical education in Łódź, and has entered into close collaboration with universities.


BSH has been involved in co-operation with higher education institutions in Łódź for many years, acting both as an originator and participant of initiatives, creating opportunities for students to interact with the business environment through, e.g.: interesting internship offers; participation in the initiative of the Medical University of Łódź "Employer Scholarships"; involvement in the teaching process – lectures for students; participation in job fairs; holding meetings with students on the BSH premises.
